deadline extended till February 1st

The Chairpersons and the Organizing Committee have the honour to invite you to the

11th Aegean Analytical Chemistry Days (AACD2018)

which will be organized in Chania, Crete, Greece, 25-29 Sept 2018 by the

Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry, Department of Chemistry, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens

and the

Department of Environmental and Natural Resources Engineering, Laboratory of Environmental Chemistry and Biochemical Processes, Technological Educational Institute of Crete,

in collaboration with the

Department of Food Quality and Chemistry of Natural Products, International Center for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM) - Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania (MAICh)

This is the 11th meeting after the successful organization of the 1st AACD (1998) in Izmir, Turkey, the 2nd AACD (2000) in Ayvalik, Turkey, the 3rd AACD (2002) in Lesvos, Greece, the 4th AACD (2004) in Kuşadası, Turkey, the 5th AACD (2006) in Thessaloniki, Greece, the 6th AACD (2008) in Denizli, Turkey, the 7th AACD (2010) in Lesvos, Greece and the 8th AACD (2012) in Urla, Izmir, Turkey, the 9th AACD (2014) in Chios, Greece and the 10th AACD (2016) in Ηanakkale, Turkey.

Since the first event in Izmir 1998, many analytical chemists from all over the world, have also attended these biennial conferences. The statistical distribution of those participated in the previous six events showed that the AACD conferences have become an international event, widely accepted as a forum for:

• presenting new trends and developments in analytical chemistry
• discussing new applications of environmental, food and industrial analysis with a special emphasis to quality aspects
• promoting the presentation of young scientists' research
• exchanging ideas and promoting collaborations for joint research projects

The 11th Aegean Analytical Chemistry Days (AACD2018) will be organized in Chania, Crete. Crete is the second largest island of Greece and Chania is the second largest city of the island.

Chania is connected by ferryboat from Piraeus (Athens) as well by airplane from Athens and Thessaloniki. There are many also flights from most European destinations.

Internationally recognized invited speakers will give Plenary and Keynote Lectures. The organizers will prepare a balanced programme with oral communications of studies of general interest and novelty and young scientists’ contributions, along with thematic poster sessions.

During the 11th Aegean Analytical Chemistry Days (AACD2018) emphasis will be given to the following scientific subjects:

• Analytical Chemistry & Nanoscience
• Archaeometry
• Atomic and Molecular Spectrometry
• Bioelectrochemistry and Biomedical Applications
• Biochemical and Clinical Analysis
• Chemometrics
• Chromatography and Separation Techniques
• Electroanalysis
• Electrochemical Sensors and Biosensors
• Environmental Analysis

• Food Analysis
• Forensic Analysis
• Hyphenated techniques
• Mass Spectrometry
• Pharmaceutical Analysis
• Quality control / Quality assurance and

   Chemical Metrology
• Sample Preparation
• Speciation
• Surface Characterization Techniques

The organizing committee is pleased to invite you to participate in the 11th Aegean Analytical Chemistry Days and enjoy with us the stimulating scientific programme and a wonderful social programme.
